Dana Hines

President & Founder

Dana’s expertise lies in developing strategic direct mail, on-site sales, membership plans for all types of membership and nonprofit programs. Under Dana’s leadership, Membership Consultants has developed powerful membership and donor campaigns for organizations across the country including museums, associations, botanical gardens, zoos, aquariums, and conservation organizations.

Dana adds her expertise and knowledge of the current practices in the membership arena to provide organizations with the strategic thinking and specific ideas to expand on membership and donor acquisition, retention, servicing and marketing efforts needed to achieve the desired growth of any program.

Karen Mariani

Account Manager, Onsite Sales & List Acquisition

Karen has been with Membership Consultants since 2007. As a list broker, her main focus involves her in all acquisition campaigns. With over 12 years of experience in marketing and public relations, she also oversees the department of On-site Sales and participates in the company’s marketing and events. Karen’s experiences in event-planning plus extensive volunteer activities, has provided her with an abiding appreciation for the work done in the realm of the nonprofit, cultural institutions.

Karen is a member of the Direct Marketing Association, the American Marketing Association, the Public Relations Society of America and a board member of the Hill Business Association.

Tabetha Pund

Strategic Planning & Project Manager

Tabetha’s primary focus as the Strategic Planning Manager is performing membership and donor program audits and strategic plans and has executed strategic plans for more than 25+ plans various cultural institutions. Additionally, she is often involved in direct mail project management for acquisition, renewal, lapsed and upgrade campaigns, as well as complementary email campaigns, while fulfilling responsibilities in-house such as hosting membership webinars, conducting the biannual Pulse of Membership Survey, sending enewsletters and emails to customers, and more. She is a former Board Member at the St. Charles County Historical Society and received her B.A. in History from Truman State University, and a Masters of Public Administration (MPA), Museum Administration from Southern Illinois University.
